Hello to all, I am a first year “giant” pumpkin grower. Year one I went with big max pumpkins to gain experience. I currently have two good sized pumpkins out on the vine. My dilemma is that the majority of the leaves and secondary vines have died off. The main vine and the stems attached to the pumpkin are still green. The pumpkins themselves are a deep rich orange and growth lines have developed. My concern is that with all the rain and the decomposing vines, my pumpkins could be at risk. Should I harvest now or leave them alone to continue growing? I appreciate any advice!

If all the leaves are shot your growth is probably about done. It's that time of year. Harvest one and take OTT measurements on the other. Take OTT again in a few days and if it hasn't grown harvest it.
