The tomato patch last year. I pulled one of these scraggly plants up and moved it. I didnt dig it because I didnt want to damage the remaining ones. Just yanked it and at that point it was not soft soil so most of the roots broke.
The plant was miserable for a month, but then it produced the 8.68 lb tomato. It had a larger tomato on it too, plus a similar sized tomato, I culled the bigger one because of a small speck of black and the similar twin one because of an inferior stem position, respectively. Well, wouldnt that have been ironic if the "official world record" had been grown on a plant that was ripped out of the ground. Probably lost 90% of its roots. Crazy.
