Last year my 300ish pumpkin rotted away in late August on a lawn. I harvested some seeds and planted in late April indoors and the seeds were not good. Lesson learned for the future.
Thank you to Woody Lancaster for giving me two of his 2116 plants last weekend that he started around the middle of April. Unfortunately, there was some minor damage while transporting and perhaps some transplant stress too. Transplant date was Monday the 17th. I have been watering daily and spoon feeding every other day and the plant has really perked up and there is noticeable growth on the main vine. It is growing vertical for now so we will have to see how it progresses over the next few days.
