I know this isn't an LG question, but I thought some of you gourd growers might have an answer. I have some giant pears this year. One has stopped growing and I would like to weigh it. I have heard you should let the vine die and the stem turn brown others told me to wait till frost. But I notice some LG look green when picked. Can I pick it now that it has stopped growing? Will it harden right if I pick it now?

I will dry fine off the vine if kept in a dry place with good air flow. You can also wipe it down with bleach.

I definitely recommend a light bleach / water rub down to remove and kill the fungi, I have never had one rot after a bleach rubdown.
