Now that I've picked my long gourds I was wondering if there was some trick to drying the seeds. When I grew loufas I just let the gourd dry on the vine and emptied out the seeds. Not an option now so can I just cut them open and dig them out and dry them like pumpkin seeds?

I would make sure the gourd is mature an then break it open, take out the seeds and clean as best you can and spread on wooden board, A/C filter or some hard surface and let dry in sun for coupple of days. Take in at night or some people dry with fan on for consistent airflow. Seeds should be good then. Good Luck.
