Happy July 1st. Id thought I give a little update on how I am feeling this season. The spring started off really bad. For everyone it was terrible. I was falling behind pretty badly from last year. Went into June feeling stressed. I was saying to myself that a mid July pollination was likely. All of May was cloudy. The weather then turned around after the first week of June. Thankfully it did. All of a sudden i started getting a lot of sunny days. Warmer nights and days in the high 70s and mid 80s. The plants really jumped with that change. If the weather didnt change I dont even know if I would have a pumpkin this year. Seriously. Right now on July 1st I am feeling really good. Last year I was ahead by about a week and a half. I am happy though. The plants this year are catching up. Just a little behind on the pollination time. I feel good on where I am at. The weighoffs are a bit later this year. This great weather looks to continue with temps in the 80s and warm nights. Pumpkins should grow well! I will continue to update :)
