Decision time kept that 2624 Wjns in the heated cold frame despite the split stem for no good reason at all. The stem has turned into a flat ribbon, but the plant is growing normally. No future that I can imagine. To replace with a 7-day-old 2nd attempt at the McCracken 1795, but couldnt bare to just discard the 2624 after what I shelled out for it so moved it into another open place in the patch with some wind protection and wrapped the stem with Saran Wrap to keep the dirt and bugs out, but not much else. Maybe I can give it to somebody who has a good home for it. Any takers? Right off US Rt 78.
