Slight crack in 2003 Haist before planting. Was hoping it wouldn't matter but it killed itself when it tried to grow.

My helper and I put them in the ground. The 7 gallon bags didn't work out as well as I hoped. The rootball of pumpkins doesnt hold together very well. Maybe the roots aren't strong enough or maybe the dirt was too loose. Despite undoing velcro on the side of the bags the rootballs fell apart as I pulled the plants out. Not a good start. Good lesson though.

Never give up, these plants some tough dudes. I can't even kill them. We will have to see if the squash bugs and vine borers can kill them instead.

Main-vine got injured and died somehow? I think maybe my foliar spray had too much neem oil or fertilizer or something else I'm not thinking. Stray roundup spraying nearby weeds? I'm my plants worst enemy I guess.

Both plants still growing well and are due some vine burying. Almost no bugs at all, keeping fingers crossed.

Looks one of my plants is dying the same exact way last year's plant in the same spot died. Yellow vine or something. Almost zero bugs this year so I'm not sure what's going on. I wonder if there is oil or gas in the spot where this always seems to originate.
