The 272.5E Neptune transplanted to the patch today. All the melons Gage and I started last Saturday but 2 are up and looking good. One 296.5 Barber and one 199.5 Mudd are the only ones to not make an appearance. Start pumpkins and one mean green squash tomorrow.

Dreary, windy, rainy morning. Pollinated 1218.5* Morris with 1024* Daho. I selfed one on this plant already but this is the one I really want, hope it takes. Also 1676.5 Daletas pollinated with 2036 Glasier. Didnt care for the looks of the lobes on this one. There is another 2 or 3 feet away so no worries.

After storms and heavy rains swept through today I came home and during inspections found the 2096 was soft. I had noticed that it didnt seem to be growing. Cut it off and it had some rotting on the bottom. Sucks I was looking forward to watching it grow.
